10614NAT Diploma of Wine Technology

This one’s for the serious Wine Maker, whether you’re a boutique vigneron or working in a large scale winery. The Diploma of Wine Technology will embed your expertise. We offer the Diploma online, so you get to stay at work, and study when it suits you.

You’ll have access to expert wine industry trainers via email, phone or through our world class support system. Learn the crucial decisions at every stage of the wine making process, to yield that perfect drop. We’ll also delve into marketing, budgets and business plans. Just as importantly, hone your skills that in our state of the art wet lab on campus.

The 10614NAT Diploma of Wine Technology is the recognised qualification to work within a large-scale winery or to undertake the management of a small owner operated wine making business.

Ready to match your vineyard experience with sound business know how? Study the Diploma of Viticulture at GOTAFE to gain the knowledge you need for a sustainable and productive vineyard. Also learn about staff and management techniques. We offer the course online so you can continue working and study when it suits you.
Come to Wangaratta twice yearly to work in the wet lab and learn from your fellow students and our vineyard experts. Progress to a Bachelor of Wine Business with Charles Sturt University with possible exemptions for the first year. Our relationship gives you a streamlined enrolment to take your studies further.

What is VESTA?

Grape and Wine Education for the 21st Century


Imagine taking specialized courses, earning college credit, and expanding your understanding of the grape and wine industry from the convenience of your home or office.  The Viticulture Enology Science and Technology Alliance (VESTA) is a national grape and wine education program that combines the flexibility of online instruction; instructor guided education from industry professionals; and crucial hands on experience under the guidance of an experienced mentor at a vineyard or winery close to where you live.  VESTA is designed to come to the student within the United States or around the world.
